Abstract

1325655 Spray carburettors FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 4 April 1972 15272/72 Heading F1B A carburettor having an internal bowl vent comprises a stack tube 13, Fig.1 extending from an air horn to a float bowl and a further passage 14 between the float bowl end of the stack tube and the interior of the float bowl so that the total length of the vent is substantially greater than the length of the stack tube to reduce pressure fluctuations in the float bowl. The passage 14 is a maze-like channel either formed in the carburettor body or formed as a plastics insert.
