Abstract

1325514 Valves J J BOOTH 8 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 57016/71 Heading F2V In a valve for dispensing a variety of flavoured syrup-carbonated water mixtures having a plurality of water valves, as 34, and a plurality of corresponding normally closed syrup valves, as 74, the water valves are actuated by a push button, as 58 and back-pressure is generated in the chamber, as 44 and operates through the passageway, as 98, to move the rod as 94 and hence the closure member as 90 out of engagement with the seat of the syrup valve to dispense syrup through the aperture as 76 to mix with the water in the nozzle 40. The body comprises three parts 14, 16 and 18 of plastics or metal with gaskets 20, 22 sealing the interfaces. The closure members 50, 90, of valves 34, 74 respectively are integral with the gasket 22 through resilient ribs 52, 92. Rod 94 and rod 54 are held in cups 96, 56 integral with gasket 20. The water passageways extend through the valve body from a common water inlet to a common water outlet.
