Abstract

1325020 Let-off motions NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 11 Nov 1970 [12 Nov 1969] 53619/70 Heading D1E A let-off motion has a hydraulic pump 27 driven by the shaft 11 of the warp beam, the outlet 28 and inlet 30 of the pump being connected by a fluid conduit loop 29, 33, 31 having a flow constricting valve 29 therein controlled by a back rest 13 such that when the tension in the warp 12 decreases below a predetermined value the valve 29 is throttled to increase the resistance to fluid flow through the loop, and hence the brakng effect of the pump 27 on the warp beam, and when the warp tension increases above a predetermined value the valve is further opened to decrease the braking effect. The back rest 13 is rotatably mounted on arms 14 fixed to a shaft 15 which is rotatably mounted on the loom frame and biased in the clockwise direction by a spring 23. An arm 41 attached to arm 14 controls, through rod 42 and pivot arm 43, a plunger 36 acting on a ball (37), Fig. 2 (not shown) of a ball valve 29.
