Abstract

1324814 Multi-chamber pressure vessel ELECTRODIUS AB 3 Aug 1970 [22 Aug 1969] 37393/70 Heading B1XAn autoclave device comprises a plurality of closely spaced pressure chambers mounted as a single unit at least a pair of the chambers being disposed one higher than the other and having axes disposed at an angle to each other and to the horizontal, and means operable to establish communication between the pair of chambers for flow of fluent material being treated by gravity from the upper chamber to the lower chamber. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 (not shown), two chambers in the form of truncated cones (a), (b) are joined at their base ends by a connecting part (e). In the embodiment of Fig. 5, four cylindrical or frustooonical pressure chambers A, B, C, D are built together to form a unit. The two upper chambers contain U-shaped shelves 20, 21. The end wall of each chamber has three doors 1, 2, 3 and material transfer tubes 1', 2', 3' are provided between pairs of doors in chambers C and D, A and B.
