Abstract

1324775 Gas burners UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 9 Oct 1970 [9 Oct 1969] 49553/69 Heading F4T [Also in Division B3] In a gas burner, ports 19 are formed, for example by a stamping process to produce holes in a sheet of metal, which is then folded along a line 23, the ports 19 so formed being connected to gas passages 18 produced by channel spaped depressions 18a brought together when the metal sheet is folded. A conduit 12 is formed by bringing together hollows 12a which may be formed simultaneously with the holes and the depressions 18a. An air inlet port 14 may be formed in one or both hollows 12a which may hive a venturi 16. Flaps 21 and 22 are folded over and pressed to make the assembly gas tight when the sheet has been folded along line 23. In an alternative arrangement (not shown) only ports 19 and passages 18 are formed in a single sheet of metal which is then welded on top of a slit in a gas conduit.
