1323909 Electroless metal deposition in well bores SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 10 Aug 1970 [11 Aug 1969] 38438/70 Heading C7F [Also in Division E1] The walls of an incompetent earth formation surrounding a well bore are plated with a metal, such as nickel, cobalt copper or iron, by injecting a conventional activating agent followed by an electroless metal plating solution containing phosphite ions, hydrogen phosphite ions or dihydrogen phosphite ions. Conventional additives and procedures are described. The actuating agent solution contains gum arabic in addition to PdCl 2 and hydrozine.
