Abstract
1323437 Electronic organs R BOHM 27 July 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 36320/70 Heading G5J An electronic organ has a plurality of keys each of which, when operated, effects the production of a predetermined sequence of notes and chords. An embodiment of the organ comprises a sound generator 10, capable of producing signals for certain musical notes, which may be selectively operated by keys, such as 11 and 12. On depression of key 11, signals associated with the notes c<SP>2</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> and f<SP>2</SP> are fed, via resistors 14, 15 and 16, contact 13, collecting lead 17, a control stage 18 and a resistor 19 to a sound forming means 20. At the same time, signals for c, a, and fare transmitted similarly to sound housing 20. Signals for C and F also follow similar channels, and produce a sub-harmonic, by means of voltage divider 40, having the divider ratio 1 : 2. A rhythm provider 46 feeds control pulses to the control stages 18, 27, 32 and 38 to produce a required rhythm. Contact 47 directly connects a note associated with the key 11 to the sound forming means 20 so that when key 11 is depressed a corresponding continuous note is produced. The keys, such as 11 and 12, may be in the form of a manual on the left hand side of a keyboard, and switching means may be also displayed on the keyboard, which are connected to the rhythm provider, to select the required rhythm. An electronic percussion instrument (not shown) may be incorporated, which is controlled by the rhythm provider 46.
