Tidal energy, utilizing.-Apparatus for utilizing tidal energy is so arranged that a part of the energy drives an electric generator and part is utilized to pump water to a high-level reservoir G for use when the tide does not serve directly. The pumps are actuated by a separate turbine or from the shaft of the primary turbine B, and the water from the reservoir G may be allowed to act on the primary turbine, on a wheel H on the shaft of the primary turbine. or on a separate turbine E, the waste water from the turbine E passing into the main reservoir.
