1321792 Refrigerator casings DOW CHEMICAL CORP 10 March 1972 [11 March 1971] 11363/72 Heading F4H In a method for preventing tensile strength failure in a liner of refrigeration equipment which is operated at a temperature below that at which the equipment is assembled which comprises pre-stressing the liner in compression and securing the liner in the equipment. Prestressing may be accomplished by prebending, forming the liner in a shallow arc in one direction or pre-shrinking and then securing the bent, arcuate or shrunken liner to the equipment.
