1321419 Effervescent compositions SOC GENERALE DE RECHERCHES ET D'APPLICATIONS SCIENTIFIQUES 28 Sept 1971 [28 Sept 1970] 45167/71 Heading A5B Effervescent pharmaceutical compositions comprise acetylsalicylic acid, aspartic acid or glutamic acid, and a base which is a carbonate or bicarbonate of lysine, arginine, morpholine, ethanolamine, piperazine or diethylamine. Preferably the weight ratio of acid to base is from 0.5:1 to 0.5:2. The composition may be in the form of a tablet and may also contain an additional pharmaceutically acceptable acid such as citric or tartaric acid.
