Abstract

Title cpd. is in laevo-form and corresponds to the molecular formula C13H28N4O6 in which one molecule of CO2 is associated with two of lysine to give lysine carbamate stabilised with a second molecule of lysine. It exists in the form of a white crystalline powder, m.p. 246-250 degrees C, very soluble in water but insoluble in methanol and other organic solvents.
