Abstract

1321043 Coating apparatus MOLINS MACHINE CO Ltd 13 Nov 1970 [13 Nov 1969] 55637/69 Heading B2L A paste applicator 16 is mounted for movement in an elliptical path relative to a package 21 which is to receive paste therefrom. A circular member 1 is rotatably driven on an eccentrically located shaft 2 and an annular member 3 is mounted on the circular member by a bearing 4. At one side, 6, the member 3 is pivotally connected to a bar 5 pivoted to the machine frame and diametrically opposite this point the member 3 is pivotally connected to a bar 9 which carries the paste applicator 16. The bar 9 is guided in a slide 11 and the applicator is adjustably mounted thereon by a plate 15 held by bolts 14. The paste applicator may be in the form of nozzles 18-20 or wicks and may be fed from a supply pin 17. Fig. 3 shows the elliptical path of movement of the point 10 at A and the path of the applicator nozzles is the same as this.
