Abstract

1321017 Luffing boom apparatus HITACHI Ltd 19 April 1971 [18 Feb 1970] 21847/71 Heading B8H [Also in Division G3] A travelling machine for handling heavy articles comprises a pair of relatively movable arms 50 for gripping the article, and associated arms 51, 52 all operated by jacks 56, a manually controlled valve 4 linked to a set of levers simulating the arms, and a set of valves 5 to give position feedback to control spools (10) (Fig. 1, not shown, see Division G3). A course control is provided by a valve (7) in parallel with the valve 4. (For Figure 3 see next column)
