Abstract
1320849 Filing papers etc; bookbinding P S NES 27 May 1971 17677/71 Headings B6A and B6E A device for binding bundles of perforated sheets 22 between a pair of cover panels 21, 23 using plastics studs 24 which are retained by washers (not shown) comprises a mounting plate 1 carried by supports 2 and including a fixed portion 3 in the slot 5 of which is mounted slidably a movable portion 4, the portions 3, 4 being provided with respective rows of apertures 16 to 19 which in conjunction with a further row of apertures 11 in an interchangeable block 12 are used selectively for reception of two guide pins 20 on which are threaded the sheets 22. In operation the cover panel 21 is located in the fixed portion 3 such that its binding portion overlies with its perforations the apertures 11 whereupon the guide pins 20 are inserted into selected apertures 11 and the cover panel 23 is then placed over the sheets 22 and the panels and sheets are bound together by the pins 24. The panel 21 is located by adjustable guides 14 and the rows of apertures 16 to 19 are used when the sheets are bound along a shorter edge as shown in Fig. 2.
