Abstract

1318144 Stays R A SANDERS 3 Feb 1972 [2 Feb 1971] 3693/71 Heading E2F A stay for preventing relative angular movement between two members, e.g. in a window mounting, comprises an arm 10 attached at 14 to one member and a projection 20 attached at 21 to the other; the projection 20 extending into the hollow bar through a slot 22 in bottom plate 24 and being biassed into one of the recesses 16. The spring biassing means 28 shown engages the plate 24 and the head of the projection but in a modification (Fig. 3 not shown) extends between the plate and a circlip engaged just below the head. The recesses 16 may be replaced by holes extending through the top of the bar (Fig. 4A not shown) or the slot can be provided with a number of holes to be engaged by an enlarged lower portion of the projection 20 (Fig. 4B not shown).
