Abstract

1405991 Latches INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO 15 Nov 1973 [16 Nov 1972] 53035/73 Heading E2A In an assembly 10 comprising a cylinder 12, and a piston reciprooally mounted in the cylinder and having a pushrod 14 connected thereto, a latch retains the pushrod in a retracted position, the latch comprising first and second elongate, resilient members 20, 22 mounted on cylinder and arranged so that movement of the pushrod from an extended to a retracted position is impeded solely or primarily by the member 22 whilst movement of the pushrod from a retracted position to an extended position is impeded by both members. The relative spring rates of the members may be varied.
