Abstract

1318073 Locomotives RHEINSTAHL AG 14 Aug 1970 [8 Dec 1969] 38841/70 Heading B7L A locomotive has at least two multi-axle bogies 3 which have no king pins and on which the locomotive body is supported via springs 2 which permit lateral displaceability of the locomotive body in relation to each bogie. A single connecting rod 8 is provided between the underframe 1 of the locomotive body and each bogie for transmitting tractive and braking forces from the bogie to the locomotive body, each of which rods 8 is pivotally connected at one end to a pin 9 or 9<SP>1</SP> depending vertically from the underframe of the locomotive body and at the other end to a further pin 6 or 61 depending from a transverse strut 5 at one end of the bogie and each of the rods 8 extends substantially in the plane of the bogie axles or therebelow. The pivotal connection of the bogies to the underframe 1 by means of rods 8 may be made on a common bearing pin. The pin 9 or 9<SP>1</SP> may be secured to the underframe 1 via a support 10 which interconnects the longitudinal struts of the underframe 1. The rods 8 for the feeding and trailing bogies may be of different lengths.
