1317938 Immersion washing apparatus ARIOLI & C S R L 12 Aug 1970 [13 Aug 1969] 38770/70 Heading D1L Apparatus for continuous immersion washing comprises at least two groups of rollers in a washing bath, each group comprising, in order, a driven feed roller 53, a helically ribbed widening roller 55, at least one hollow, apertured washing roller 50, a second widening roller 56 and a second feed roller 54. The helical ribs of the widener rollers spreads the fabric and the action of feed roller and widener roller together prevents curling of the edges, particularly in knitted fabrics.
