1316717 Mooring vessels OFFSHORE CO 23 Nov 1971 54356/71 Heading B7S Appparatus for mooring a vessel, e.g. a floating drilling rig 10, comprises a first mooring line 20 which extends between the rig 10 and a buoy 18 and carries at its mid-point a sinker 26. A second mooring line 28 extends from the buoy 18 to an anchor 34. This arrangement prevents sudden increases in tension in the mooring lines. A number of mooring lines 20, 28 are preferably employed.
