Abstract

1315941 Pneumatic conveyers G RATZEL 5 Jan 1971 [5 Jan 1970] 502/71 Heading B8A [Also in Division E1] A concrete mix is supplied to a concrete gun (not shown) by conveyer apparatus comprising at least two pressurized cylindrical vessels 1, 2 containing the concrete mix, a respective pipe 5, 6 disposed tangentially beneath each vessel to receive concrete mix and provided with a conveyer worm therein and a compressed air annular nozzle near the end, a respective hose 19, 20 attached to the end of each pipe, and a selector control device 21 into which all the hoses are connected. The vessels 1, 2 may have stirring mechanisms, and the vessels and the manifolds 15, 16 for the annular nozzles may be connected to a common source of compressed air, as shown. The selector control device 21 comprises two relatively rotatable concentric rings 24, 25, the outer ring 24 carrying the hose connections 22, 23 and having a slot opposite these, and the inner ring 25 having a pipe mounted across its diameter, the inner ring being rotatable in a pressure-tight relation with the hose connections into a position where the pipe is in line with any one of these connections and the slot, the pipe being connected to the gun (not shown).
