Abstract

1315546 Machine tool frames EDOUARD DUBIED & CIE SA 19 May 1970 [20 May 1969] 24228/70 Heading B3B A lathe comprises a bed 27 which supports a headstock 28 and tailstock 39 the bed being mounted on a base frame 1 by way pedestals 16 and 17, bosses 18 and 19 being provided on the base frame which engage recesses in the pedestals and the frame and pedestals are secured by way of bolts 25. The bed is secured to the pedestals by three connections 36, 37 and 38 two on pedestal 16 and one on the pedestal 17. the bolted connection at 36 providing a rigid fixing, the connection at 37 having sufficient clearance to permit slight lateral movement only and the connection at 38 permitting slight displacement of the bed in a direction longituindally of the axis of the bed. The frame 1 is constructed as a rectangular container which is divided into compartments by walls 13 each compartment acting as a reservoir for soluable oil, cooling fluid, &c.
