1314639 Nickel-base alloy NIPPON PISTON RING K K 17 June 1971 [22 June 1970] 28425/71 Heading C7A A nickel-base alloy comprises, in weight percent:- 27 to 33% copper 30 to 5À5% silicon 0À05 to 3% lead and/or 0À3 to 1% graphite, the combined lead and graphite content not exceeding 3%. Minor amounts of iron, carbon, manganese, sulphur as impurities, the balance being nickel. The resulting alloy is abrasion-resistant and is especially suitable for the valve-seats of internal combustion engines running on lead-free fuel.
