1314514 Catalytic reactor HUMPHREYS & GLASGOW Ltd 5 Aug 1970 [6 Aug 1969] 39356/69 Headings B1F and B1X [Also in Division C5] Outlet ports 60, Fig. 4, in the outlet flues of a catalytic reformer furnace are arranged with an increasing angle of inclination towards the outlet end to reduce turbulence in the flue caused by incoming gases. The flues 14, Fig. 2, are placed along the floor of the catalytic reformer furnace between rows of vertical catalyst reformer tubes. The particular application of the apparatus of the invention is to the production of gases from light petroleum fractions and steam. Application No. 39312/69 is referred to for a description of suspension arrangements for the catalyst tubes, and Application No. 39405/69 is referred to for a description of inlet and outlet arrangements for the catalyst tubes.
