Abstract

1314270 Protective arrangements ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE 11 May 1970 [9 May 1969] 22731/70 Heading H2H [Also in Division H1] A variable impedance induction arrangement (Division H1) normally held in saturation by winding 22, is inserted in the line 27 to be protected. Fault signals due to excess current detected by any of the current transformers 31, 32, 33, cause the unijunction transistor 44 to trip the thyristor 53, short circuiting the winding 22, and allow the induction arrangement to become unsaturated and exhibit a large resistance to protect the faulty line.
