Abstract

1313279 Boxes for tablets TIROS PLASTICS CORP 21 Feb 1972 [16 June 1971] 7868/72 Heading B8P A box moulded from polypropylene has a dispensing opening 5 normally closed by a strip 15 extending from a side wall of the box and carrying a finger tab 19 on the outside of the box by which the strip 15 can be deflected to the dotted line position to dispense the tablets. In use, the strip 15 is tucked in through aperture 5 and its resilience causes it to spring back to close the aperture, the lid which may be a sliding lid has a slot (23, Fig. 3) therein to allow the tab to pass to the outside. The lid may be separate and may be transparent and made of polystyrene or can be moulded with the box and have an integral hinge. Baffles 14, 16 control the movement of the tablets. If the box is not to be refilled the lid can be secured in position by solvent or thermal welding.
