Abstract
1312877 Whey treatment FOREMOSTMcKESSON Inc 16 July 1971 [24 July 1970] 33610/71 Heading A2B [Also in Divisions C2 and C3] Liquid whey wherein the heat denaturable protein content is in undenatured form is fractionated by membrane ultrafiltration into a first protein rich fraction and a first lactose rich fraction. This first protein rich fraction may further be subjected to membrane ultrafiltration to produce a second protein rich fraction and a second lactose rich fraction, or it may be subjected to gel filtration to produce the protein and lactose fraction, which protein fraction may be also subjected to gel filtration.
