Abstract

1312520 Valves ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 12 Aug 1970 [16 Aug 1969] 38818/70 Heading F2V Supply flow entering spigot 4, is divided into a constant value flow feeding valve port 13 and a residual flow feeding valve port 11, the proportioning being effected by a spool 3 which at one end is adapted to engage a seat 9 and so close port 11 and at its other end is acted upon by a spring 7. Disposed within the valve spool bore 15 is an orifice plate 17, a plate 24 having a plurality of orifices 25 spaced from the plate axis, and a valve closure member 23 which is biased against a seat 21 formed within the spool bore. Dynamic forces derived from the main flow in bore 15 and tending to prematurely unseat member 23 are said to be minimized by plate 24. With the supply exceeding that required to provide the constant valve flow, spool 3 is lifted and the residual flow is vented through port 11. Upon the port 11 being relieved, rapid downward movement of spool 3 is facilitated by unseating of valve member 23. Modifications of the plate 24 and of the closure member 23 are depicted in Figs. 2-4, not shown.
