Abstract
1311971 Aerials MINISTERUL FORTELOR ARMATE 9 July 1970 33487/70 Heading H4A In order to reduce phase variations across the aperture of a horn radiator a plane metal mask formed by strips of various widths, spacings, and orientations is located in said aperture. For an H-plane sectoral horn, the mask comprises two central strips 10, Fig. 1, which are parallel to the magnetic field H, and which have a capacitive effect. Near the ends of the aperture strips 11 are disposed, which are parallel to the electric field E, and which have an inductive effect. An E-plane sectoral horn has a mask comprising strips 13, Fig. 3, with portions which are parallel to the electric field E, and, nearer the ends of the aperture, strips 14, which are parallel to the magnetic field H.
