Abstract
1310978 Welding by fusion MESSERSCHMITT BOLKOW - BLOHM GmbH 23 July 1970 [26 Aug 1969] 35835/70 Heading B3R [Also in Division F1] Electronic beam welding 13 is used to secure a pressure-relief diaphragm 8 to a mounting ring 3 which is in turn secured to a body 2 by flame or arc welding 4, the body 2 defining the fluid pressure flow path which the diaphragm 8 protects. A holding ring 6, which clamps the peripheral beading 7 of diaphragm 8 against ring 3, is connected to ring 3 by a flame or arc weld 12. Fig. 2 shows a diaphragm 30 welded by an electronic beam weld 32 to a mounting ring 23 welded at 24 to a body 22.
