Abstract

1310666 Feeding sheets GESTETNER Ltd 8 March 1972 [17 March 1971] 7098/71 Heading B8R A foldable sheet feedboard includes a front portion 1, as seen in the sheet feed direction, and a pivotable rear portion 2 transversely adjustable with respect to the front portion, the rear portion carrying side guides 4. The front portion is vertically adjustably mounted adjacent a cylinder of a printing or duplicating machine 3 and provided with pivot shafts 9 about which the rear portion, which is intended to hold a stack, is pivotable to a folded position and axially adjustable with the aid of a pivotable lever (12), Fig. 1 (not shown). The rear ends of the side guides 4 are pivotably and adjustably mounted on rods 11 below the top surface of the rear portion whilst the front ends, which may have rollers 20, rest on the front portion so that when the rear portion is pivoted to the folded position the side guides tilt about therods 11 and their front ends slide along the front portion.
