Abstract

1310258 Transistor pulse circuits YOKOGAWA ELECTRIC WORKS Ltd 23 July 1970 [26 Jan 1970 23 May 1970] 35688/70 Heading H3T A pulse transmission circuit comprises: a transmission line I comprising a pair of inductively coupled conductors; means DR for applying a current signal to one end of one conductor; a detector RE connected to the same end of the other conductor; and a switching circuit S1 connected between the two conductors at the other end of the line. In one embodiment, Fig. 2, application of input pulses to the emitter of Q1 turns on Q2 to short end 1, 2 of transmission line l, allowing current to flow from Ecc1 through the line to the base of Q3 and turn it on. The input switch Q1, Q2 and output receiver Q3 may be integrated circuit gates, and two or more input switches may be connected in parallel, Fig. 3 (not shown). In another modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), two simultaneously operated input switches are connected in series across the line and two receivers, each comprising series connected transistors, are connected in parallel across the output. These also may be integrated circuit gates, Fig. 6 (not shown). In a further modification, Fig. 8 (not shown), the earth points at the sending and receiving ends of the line are interconnected with a third wire in the transmission line, which is wound round the other two with a larger pitch.
