Abstract
1310230 Valves MODERN PUMP & ENG CO Ltd M W PARKER and E PAPPENHEIM 19 April 1971 [5 Nov 1969] 54287/69 Heading F2V Flow between an inlet 11 and an outlet 12 is controlled by a valve member 15 which is biased toward its closed position by a spring 25 and which is movable in the opposite direction by fluid pressure within a chamber 22 delineated in part by a diaphragm 16. Chamber 22 is in communication with the outlet 12 with such communication having disposed therein a control valve permitting a restricted flow toward chamber 22 and an unrestricted flow from the chamber (Fig. 2, not shown). The closure member includes ports in its side wall which in the closed position of the member are located within the flow passage from the inlet 11 to the outlet 12. The upper side of the diaphragm is vented to atmosphere via plug 23. (For Figure see next column.)
