Abstract

1440096 Valves ABEX CORP 7 Aug 1973 [14 Nov 1972] 37450/73 Heading F2V [Also in Divisions G3 and F1] A spool valve 62 forming part of a swash plate control servo-system is controlled by a remote manual lever 116 acting via a telemotor system. The latter comprises a housing 102 containing slidable spool 110 defining opposed chambers 113, 114 communicating respectively via lines 99, 101 with chambers 98, 97 on opposite sides of a spring centred piston 66 connected to spool valve 62. Spool 110 is spring biased into a neutral position in which a slot 112 in the spool places lines 99, 101 in communication to thus equalize the pressure in all the chambers 97, 98, 113, 114. The spool returns to this position whenever lever 116 is released. Any leakage of fluid from the telemotor system is made up by flow from passage 84 through passage 88 within piston 66 into chamber 89 and then past non-return valves 78 into chambers 97, 98.
