Abstract
1310041 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems MESSER GRIESHEIM GmbH 25 March 1970 [25 March 1969] 14424/70 Heading G3P [Also in Division F2] Undesirable variation of pressure in a pipeline H causes a pressure actuated device F<SP>1</SP> to close a valve E. The device includes a diaphragm 3 subjected to the pressure in the pipeline through a connection D<SP>1</SP> and loaded by a spring 8 which can be adjusted by a nut 13 and a slidable member 9. When increased fluid-pressure depresses the diaphragm, a rod 16 is displaced into a position in which a groove 17 receives the balls 21 of a locking mechanism so that a sleeve 19 is freed for downward movement by a spring 26 and a valve head 23b connects parts B and C and closes a part A. Pressure from the line H acting on a piston I to keep the valve E open is thus released. A pressure regulator L and a safety valve M are provided downstream of the valve E. In a second embodiment, the diaphragm is arranged at rightangles to the position shown and operates the rod 16 through a pair of pivoted members (48, 49) Fig.2 (not shown) in response to either a rise or fall in pressure.
