Abstract

1309968 Boring earth &c SALZGITTER MASCHINEN AG 19 May 1971 [29 May 1970] 15782/71 Heading E1F In apparatus for drilling and casing a hole comprising a rotary drive 23 having a take-off shaft 26 carrying a power operated clamp 29 for engagement with the drill shaft 30, the drive is fed along a guide 20. A further take-off shaft 27 carries a connector 35 which can be fixed to the casing 37. In a modification the connector may be clamped to its take-off shaft. In a further modification the take-off shaft carrying the connector may have a clamp for engaging the drill shaft. A single take off shaft may carry the clamp 29 at one end, and the connector at the other end. The take-off shafts may rotate in opposite directions and the casing may have a cutting shoe.
