Abstract

1309510 Lubricating KVAERNER BRUGS KJOLEAVDELING A/S 13 Aug 1971 [18 Aug 1970] 38173/71 Heading F2A [Also in Division F1] A circulation pump for a refrigeration plant comprises a centrifugal pump 2, an hydraulic or pneumatic motor 11, a housing 1 containing lubricting oil to a level 9 for shaft bearings 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, and at least one loop of conduit 4 carrying the driving fluid discharged from the motor, the loop being submerged in the oil in order to heat the oil. Refrigerating fluid leaking from the pump 2 into the oil is separated from the oil by the heat transferred from the hot motive fluid circulating through the conduit 4, and passes via a non-return valve 10 either back to the pump 2 as shown or to another location.
