Abstract

1309206 Labyrinth seals VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 19 April 1971 [16 April 1970] 26726/71 Heading F2B [Also in Division D1] A combing out roller 2 for an open end spinning machine is separated from the adjacent side wall of the body of the separating device by a labyrinth seal 32. The seal may be present on one or both sides of the combing out roller and it may be formed by cylindrical grooves and raised portions of the wall or roller (as shown) or by gaskets fitted to the wall or roller. The labyrinth seal prevents the ingress of dirt between the roller and side wall.
