1308417 Tandem axle suspensions HENDRICKSON MFG CO 7 Sept 1971 [28 Sept 1970] 41719/71 Addition to 1242941 Heading B7D In a tandem axle suspension comprising as described in the main patent equalizing beams 15 which are pivoted on saddles 20 and are formed by two overlapping sections 30, 31 connected by resilient bushing assemblies 35, 36, each resilient bushing assembly 36 also serves to pivotally connect the beam 15 to the saddle 20. The bushing assembly 36 comprises a first rubber bush 56 interposed between a cross shaft 18 carried by the saddles 20 and a metal bush 56 seated in holes 37, 37<SP>1</SP> in the beam section 30, and a second rubber bush 53 interposed between a metal bush 52 on the bush 56 and a metal bush 50 seated in a bore 38 in the beam section 31.
