Abstract

130,824. Thomas, D. N. Sept. 9, 1918. Jet-wheels; working-fluid supply.-An hydraulic turbine has its inlet and outlet pipes in the same straight line and both adapted for direct connexion with any line of water service of the same diameter, the inlet pipe being tapered as shown. A number of turbines may be arranged in series in the same pipe line. Multiple groupings of the turbines may 'be built in a dam provided with orifices so as to utilize tidal power and river flow. Each pipe line may be controlled by a separate valve.
