Abstract
130,814. Roch, C. M. J., and Mouchel & Partners, L. C. Aug 29, 1918. Concrete ships. -Relates to the construction of reinforced - concrete ships, barges, caissons, foundations. walls, &c. Fig. 2 shows a part longitudinal section of the bottom of a ship, a being the bottom panel. b the horizontal parts of the frames, and c the central keelson. The upper and lower bars d<1>, d in the beams or frames are connected by stirrups which are formed in two parts i, f having connecting- hooks. The lower parts f are arranged to project slightly from the concrete of the panel a. and when set, the reinforcing-members d<1>, i and the shuttering h for the beams or frames are placed in position. The concreting of the beams. or frames is then completed.'
