Abstract
1308007 Change-speed gear NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 21 April 1970 [16 May 1969] 29256/72 Divided out of 1308001 Heading F2D Three reduced ratios, direct-drive and reverse, are provided by three sun-ring trains 12, 13, 14, interconnected as shown, the output 11 issuing from connected C1, R2; the input, applied selectively through a first clutch K1 to R1 for all forward ratios, and through a second clutch K2 to connected S1, S2, S3 for direct-drive and reverse; and brakes B1 (with parallel one-way brake 37), B2, B3 are applied respectively for first, second, and third ratios. In Fig. 1b (not shown), the order of the trains is reversed, the connections remaining the same, except that now the brake B2 has also a parallel one-way brake. Ratios are specified and a graphical solution shown. Input and output shafts may be transposed.
