Abstract
1308005 Change-speed gear NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 21 April 1970 [4 June 1969] 29254/72 Divided out of 1308001 Heading F2D Three reduced ratios, direct-drive and one reverse, are provided by three sun-ring-planet trains 12, 13, 14, identical or not, interconnected as shown, drive issuing to an ouput shaft 11 from C2, R3, input from 10 being selectively applied through three clutches K1, K2, K3, respectively, to C1 for second and fourth ratios, to R1, R2 for first and to S2, S3 for fourth and reverse, two brakes B1, B2 (the latter optionally with a parallel one-way brake), being applied respectively to S2, S3 for third and reverse, and to C3 for first and second. Ratios are specified and a graphical solution shown. Input and output shafts may be transposed.
