Abstract

1307787 Hammer mills FRIED KRUPP GmbH 8 Sept 1971 41897/71 Heading B2A A hammer mill comprises a one part cylindrical rotor 2 with hammers 7 pivoted to it in circumferentially-spaced segment-shaped slots 3 in the rotor, adjacent slots being axially staggered. The slots are arranged in diametrically opposite pairs, with axially adjacent pairs of slots being offset by 90‹ from one another. The hammers are pivoted on spindles 6 which extend through holes in the segmental portions of the rotor between the slots. After wear in operation, the spindles 6 are transferred from holes 4 to neighbouring holes 4<SP>1</SP>.
