Abstract

Drilling tool comprising a shaft type tool holder, and a hard metal highly wear-resistant drilling plante having several cutting surfaces arranged symmetrically to each other. On the centre of the upper end of the drilling plate, two central cutting surfaces are located, forming an angle of more than 180 deg., and connected with the two main cutting surfaces each by an intermediary cutting surface. The drilling plate has two adjacent cutting surfaces to the main cutting surface. These adjacent cutting surfaces align against the guide faces and the drilling plate has at least two support faces separated from the guide faces by a free surface.
