Abstract

1307618 Feeding sheets KOMBINAT ZENTRONIK VEB 17 April 1970 18557/70 Heading B8R [Also in Division H1] In a spring-pressed roller device for detecting cards moving over a conveying path, such as roller 4, the detecting roller 1 is mounted on a lever 2 urged about pivot 13 by a spring 3 and carrying a second lever 5 arranged to have a limited lost-motion whereby it operates a micro-switch 10 when a single card is detected but first actuates the micro-switch and then moves away therefrom when two cards move simultaneously under the roller 1. The second lever 5 is mounted on a pivot 6 urged against a fixed stop 9 by spring 7. Initial movement of lever 2 on detection of one card results in spring 7 urging lever 5 anti-clockwise about stop 9 until a stop 8 engages the lever 2. Further movement of lever 2 due to passage of two cards lifts the assembly 2, 5 away from the microswitch 10. Adjustable stop 12 provides initial setting for roller 1.
