Abstract
1305864 Drum mills DOMINION ENG. WORKS Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 May 1970] 25020/71 Heading B2A An antogenous or large diameter mill 10, Fig. 1, comprises an annular partition 20 dividing it into a grinding zone 21, and a lifter zone 22. Primary grates 23, 25 in the partition 20 permit passage of ground material into the lifter zone. Lifters 30, Fig. 2, include boxes 35 each having a secondary grate 36. Particles passing grates 36 are discharged from a tunnel 12. Other material is returned to the mill for further reduction. The boxes are lined with or formed of rubber, plastics or other wear resistant material. The walls 15, 16 are provided with wedge bars 17 to energize the contents of the mill, and are also rubber lined.
