1305429 Pivoting windows J H BIERLICH 19 March 1970 [19 March 1969] 13419/70 Heading E1J In a window having a sash frame pivotable about a central axis in a main frame, each frame is provided with rebates around upper and lower halves of their respective peripheries for nesting of the other frame when the window is closed, and each frame comprises outer and inner metal profiles 1, 2 or 21, 22 heat-insulated from each other by spacers 3 or 3' which have aligned parts 20, 20' protruding towards each other. Sections 30 secured to the sash above the pivot axis and to the frame below the axis carry weather strips 33a with which the protruding parts engage. Alternatively the protruding parts may overlap each other. The profiles carry cover plates 8.
