Abstract
1305233 An upsetting machine NEDSCHROEF OCTROOI MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 12 June 1970 28657/70 Heading B3H An upsetting machine with a set of dies 10 and co-operating punches 9 has an adjustable stroke ejector pin 47 for each of the dies which are all operated through a common lever 18 connected to a crank 17. The lever 18 is composed of a pair of centrally pivoted levers 18a, 18b releasably fixed together by a plate 58, Fig. 2. The lever 18a has one arm with a series of slots 25-(27), Fig. 5 (not shown), in which the ends of adjustable length rods (48)-(50) are connected to operate three ejector pins. The other lever 18b has only one slot to which a rod 51, Fig. 4, of the fourth ejector pin is connected. The lever 18b may be disconnected from the lever 18a and operated by a cam 52 on the shaft 16 of the crank 17 to effect an individual stroke. The fourth ejector pin can thus perform a short quick stroke and in this case the fourth station has its die replaced by a stripping die.
