Abstract

1304894 Shoring U MANNCHEN 5 Feb 1970 [12 Feb 1969] 5570/70 Heading E1E In a method of a making an opening in a load bearing wall involving the installation of a permanent beam, two horizontally extending rows of superimposed pairs of holes 40 receive yoke elements of a plurality of prop frames 2 interconnected by tie members 28, 30. Each prop frame comprises two interconnected L- shaped members, each member constituting a yoke element and a prop element (16, 14 Fig. 1). The wall disposed between the holes is then cut away and the permanent beam installed the space between the beam and the upper edge of the cut away portion being filled with concrete. Consequent upon removal of the prop frames, the lower portion of the wall is cut away to produce the desired opening.
