Abstract

1287322 Foundations for buildings: shores KB ALGERS 26 May 1970 [28 May 1969] 25223/70 Headings E1A and E1E In order to provide for possible subsidence, a grid structure is provided between a building and the underlying bedding, which grid structure may be adjusted in height by e.g. jacks 20, to allow loose packing material to fall through and form a vertical support for the building. The grid structure may be incorporated in the building foundations or may be merely an interposed perforated plate (Figs. 9-11).
